Done plenty with mine and more than happy with it . Dunno what you mean about the spout all you have to do is hold it at right angles to saw . All in all good so far.

My point was, the stihl spout wont go in the fuel hole of the 540!

Made me wonder , my stihl spout seems to fit in fuel hole , or maybe its not a stihl filler , not an orange and green one though .

It was the black stihl fuel filler I tried when I had a 540 on demo. They may have changed it on the released version though, not sure.

 

Of course, the husky one will fit I'm sure, but it's a poor excuse for a none spill spout and will not work after a couple of months, so not worth considering IMO.

The grey and black ones always fitted, the fat black ones only ever fitted the bigger saws, but they were designed more for stihl machines

Will do, ran it in today to set the auto tune as recommended in the manual , looks good and feels good so far, early days though !
