I love my 201 better and more power than the 200T

Hated the husky 338 and will certainly not be buying a 540 till it has been out a while.

Amazing how much flack new stuff gets from all the initial buyers expectations

338 is pants agreed . However our 201 is also pants and no match for the 3 200t s we have . Why is there such a difference in opinions I wonder ?

One of the main reasons is the poor ones need re-tuning. Has yours been tuned with a tacho recently?

not that I know of, might have to look into that, just assumed that the dealer would know to do that

Pfft dealers do the minimum! Countless times I used to take my saws in because they wouldn't idle or needed tuning, buy a inductive tach and do it yourself!

well they spent all of 3mins looking at it so I think not,

now where do i get hold of a tacho thingymebob

Stihl dealers are really winding me up of late. We bought 5 201's out of the 5 mine was the most sluggish, insisted on a retune (another thing they did not do a PDI!) they told me it would take 2-3 weeks as they have to send it to their specialist.... This sort of poor customer service is giving them a bad name.

Anyway I tweaked it myself once its fully run in I'll get them to give me a tacho for a final tune up. All I can say about the 201 is its a full on screamer easily equal to a 200t in performance just not build!

In short cl5325 insist on the sorting it for you, if you can do without the saw for a bit, tell them you want it running right or you money back.
