Really the UK would get nuked?

There was an article written years ago In the early 80s which showed where the soviets would drop there bombs. In South Wales was Barry docks simply because of the massive gas pipeline running along the coast. Followed by detonation of nukes above the Bristol Channel causing a massive tidal wave. Once the water had receded the soviets would simply invade with very little radioactive fallout.

They wouldn't have needed to invade, if they had defeated the land forces in Germany and stopped American reinforcements arriving Britain would have been forced to sue for peace I think.

That was one if the reasons for taking out Barry Dock as it was one of the American supply points. Nuke first and save your ground troops for occupation !

The Russians are rising again ... That's a fact .. We will end up a bankrupt nation as will America following the dreams of gas pipe lines in afgahn and oil in Iraq juat as the russians did ...if you can't follow history you need your head checking if you can't realise no one will beat these nations ... Next up we need nukes! As it will probably be the only deterrent we have left..

You don't need nukes to invade this country, seeing as we are an island who has consistently run down its farming industry for years in favour of cheap imports, all you need to do is blockade our supplies and starve us out :sneaky2:

And having decimated our navy we couldn't patrol our shores either....

well we didn't think the British Army would be treading water at Dunkirk in 1940 did we?...who knows....deterence is better than fighting for your very existence...lets all hope and pray we never find ourselves in such a dire position as we were back in those dark days.
