7t grain trailer and do the side first and rake in to piles and then fetch the trailer and drive along the hedge and all the cuttings are raked in to the trailer as you go off the top

That will be handy on the vickers lawn to trim the yew hedge, or old Mrs Miggins Beech hedge set I'm her navy yard only a 1m wide passage way. :)

Lad I sub to in aberdeen has 3 pairs are ok, better than a normal set of ladders. The oldest set were made from tubular bars and are the best the newer one are made from box section and are not very good. The feet soon fall off, the frame cracks and they need gentle use. He has had 2 pairs of the later box section type replaced, but the replacmend ones are now knackered and I refuse to use them now but his lads still do. Bit negative I know but hope it helps.

Cheers for all the replies guys and thanks Hodge for taking the time to get them out of your garage, AND take picks!

I'll shout you a shandy next time i'm up your way pal!!!

So a mixed consensus then -still like the idea of working from a platform rather than balancing of the top of my bloody ladders -defo an accident waiting to happen!
