Were you logging thin cord with your foot too close?

 

it was fairly thin using a ms341 with 15 inch bar and nice and sharp.

didnt think my foot was too close but picture proves other wise

I hit the toe of my boot the other day it went straight through to the steel toe cap which was a bit worrying i thought the kevlar or whatever is in them should of stopped the chain before it got to the steel toe cap... They were haix protector pros by the way.

mine were "no risk logger" there knackered now but they did what they were designed to do so replace and learn

It would be a bit pointless, seeing as there is a nice steel toecap there.

I did that with a pair of Haix in the same place and there was no blocking material present - in discussion with the importer it turns out the blocking material is basically on the top of the boot running through the tongue. There's a thread on here about it somewhere. Don't rely on your ppe even if it's super expensive. Glad your 5 little piggies are still wiggling happily!
