Has anybody had a trouble of it ripping up the rope fibres as it goes through the links? On the side closest to where they krab attachment points are?

Not on my 12mm Yale it all seems rope friendly so far.

Not sure i agree with that. If your hand is not on the minter. The zig zag will take the load. Just like the wrench, your weight will transfer back and forth. But if you were to fall without your brake hand below the device, you will shock load the zig zag.

ZZ is aggressive on your ropes tho, as a hitch takes the brunt but the with the ZZ the rope does as it steel. i can feel it on my ropes after a few days use. Dunno about ripping up the rope fibres tho, that sounds like you got a sharp edge somewhere, i double check that ay.

no mate its tachyon. poison ivy been doing it then?

 

Not that I no of its just when I use to run pi on a sj it shredded up alot at first but as soon as I switched to velocity it was fine,is your rope new?
