Our jensen A430t was nicked over the weekend from Gainsborough in lincolnshire, it was locked in a palisade fencing compound but they just broke the hinges off and drove off with it through a hole they'd cut in the hedge, it was towed away with (i'm guessing by the tyre marks) a transit tipper or something of that nature with twin wheels @ rear. Chipper was a 2006 model with very low hours on, approximately 500 in the standard paint work on a brian james tilt bed trailer, i doubt very much we will ever see it again but just letting all you people out there the thieving bas***ds are out n about so keep that gear well locked up and hidden away!!

Had one of the tree teams stolen end of last month. Gas axed their way through the palisade fence, cut the padlock then drove off with a Jensen A540. We have CCTV of them doing it and reg numbers and faces but local police said it is difficult to prove the theives were there and they were the ones who stole the chipper :sneaky2::001_rolleyes::confused1:

No not chipped or tracked in anyway, it is usually hidden out of sight but the one time it is on view it dissapears!!

The b******* will follow a chip truck with chipper and hit you on a later date. Nicking your gear is their job and some are bloody good at it.

so sorry to hear someone else has been hit

There is just so much of this about at the moment :sneaky2:

Our yard is on a farm and you have to pass both farm houses (full of angry farmers with shotguns!) to get to our yard. but....... somehow I still doubt its enough, if they want it, they'll get it. Best form of security these days is bloody good insurance.
