Hi, I have just come across your forum and was wondering if anyone out there could help me. I bought a mini digger a couple of years ago and its been great, the fan belt has come loose and it looks impossible to tighten from the back of the engine. The digger says its an smc MX15 pic below I think its the same as a hanix but I am no expert. Thanks in advance.

impossible to get at or to tension ?

Hi, I can touch the belt but it looks like the only way in would be to remove a side panel and then the radiator is in the way, but maybe that has to come out. I live in the middle of no where in France and there is no agent here. I do not think taking the seat out will get me into the engine.

Does the counterweight flip down or come off? Might give you some more space if its at that end of the engine.

Agreed. And the side panels might come of and the coolant bottle might come off. There,s a manual on the Internet for a ditch witch mx15 might help although it won,t upload onto my iPad
