As above really I'm looking for a new bigger trailer I was thinking about an ifor but now I've been offered one of these at a really good price. So any opinions or experience of them do they use leafs or are they on rubber indespencion units:confused1:

Excellent trailers, had mine for nearly 10 years, loaded and full most days with chips and logs, these are old pics (quick homemade chip box) but it's till going strong. have needed to replace an axle once and that's it. Can look out some newer pics if you want to see how they age :001_smile:

re suspension - yes independant rubber suspension

If its the type shown in scotspine1 pics then go for it . Iv got exactly the same and its about 8yo and virtually nothing has went wrong with it. If its a Bateson transporter with the smaller dumpy wheels stay clear of it. Iv had 2 and the chassis twisted on both because of clipping kerbs with they wheels where as the bigger skinnier ones seem to be able to handle it. Hope this helps

I've not had that problem but my 1986 model is on its original tyres and new tyres are not available and other wheels not compatible. I wonder if there is an option to change to the later axles as the tipping gear is still good.

Just check the brakes and tyres over, it doesn't take long for them to cost more than the trailer is worth.
