hello all arb talk truckers

i would like some advice on my first arb truck. i am currently a free lance climber or groundie*take whatever work comes my way. but i also run a small gardening business hedges and that sort of stuff. i dont have a chipper to tow around but may need to take a trailer.

what i would like is something that has

4wd incase i need it for a job

sit 2 adults and 2 kids *thinking of the future and dual purpose work and family

tow nicely*im not wanting to bomb it down the motorways but i dont want to be over taken by old grannies either

and that i can just dump kit in and go camping for a weekend.

i am thinking pickup truck but i am open to all suggestions from vans to tippers so over to you guys and gals what do you suggest and what is your experiences.

thank

you sorry its a long question

Ive looked at 4 makes in total and for me its going to be the Ranger.

have u got a pro tipper? i like the sound of it but couldnt see any decent pics on the website.

No but it just makes sense imo for free lancing and doing your own small jobs.

Instead of a trailer you have the option of hiring a chipper and blasting straight into the back.

Lots more pics on the Pro Tipper Facebook page, or if you want to have a look at mine give me a bell and we can meet up.

Crew cab hilux with a pro tipper

Will agree with that

If going Hilux go for a Mk4 min as it has a 2.4 td. If looking for older look for a import Mk3 which has ifs suspension and a 2.8 engine
