Got this from a scrap yard for £30 and a sheet af 1/4" steel plate to put under the floor to bolt it onto for strength. it is hand pump and will lift a full ton bad of logs, I plan at some time to plumb it into the tipper moter for speed and plain old lazyness. worth every penny 10 times over!

hi brett i have had a 12 by 6 trailer with swinglift crane used to be able to move big cubic metre bags pretty easy and have just brought a 14 by 6 trailer with botex compact crane on it they are very useful pieces of kit and save your back big time but depends on what you wish to do with it as my swinglift was very good for moving bags but no good for timber and botex is great for everything if you type in ifor williams botex 38 trailer there is a video of my trailer on youtube built by jas p wilson hope this helps

is this used with a hand pump? i see you have legs on the trailer, are they Ifor standard, are they a must in your opinion? how would you switch between tipper and crane?

Hi Brett, think what type of crane you go for depends on your budget and what you are going to use it for? i use a modified Lucas swing lift, it can manage builder bags of logs no problem, Cheap to buy! plentifull and simple! they dont alter the nose weight of the trailer either! Cheers.
