Working Away! - Is It Feasible?

Im a good freelance climber operating in the North of England. Im making good money but im not working everyday. Im thinking of advertising myself down south in the view of working the odd week away from time to time, however, theres the obvious cost of travel and lodging to think about, im doing a little research into wether the extra money you make down south offset them costs?

What sort of money can a good experienced freelance climber expect, when working down south?

A few of my main selling points to get an idea of my experience/abilities...!!!

Climbing for 14yrs

Own van, saws, PPE, etc, etc, etc.

30, 31, 36, 38, 39, 41 & EA1

Pre-97 Driving Licence

HGV I & II

City & Guilds - Traffic Management

Lantra First Aid

CSCS

Evasive Driving & Skid Car

Pass Pluss

2001 Utility Arb Comp Win (Lancaster Uni)

Plus much more......

Also, If there's any employers interested in me, feel free to get in touch.

I am also available within a qualified Three man team with un-signwritten tipper & chipper plus 5m PL, if thats of interest.

James, IMHO Time is the single greatest Commodity that is not recoverable. I would suggest making yourself available for your local market as much as possible. I believe the overhead will eat into any actual profit you may realize from your efforts traveling amoung other expenses known and unknown. Good hunting:thumbup1:
