In case anyone is interested, here is an annotated photo of my current set up.... Hopefully it makes sense.....!

The orange biner is clipped up somewhere level with the wrench in operation...

It's shaping up to be a great system for me.... It looks cluttered but it's really not! Setting up the rope walker is simply a case of clipping the croll and pantin on, stepping into the foot loop an clipping the bungee up to a chest harness.

To switch from ascent to work the croll and pantin unclip. Chances are the foot loop/croll will be stashed away and any further rope ascent is sit stand.

That first ascent 'on foot' is so quick and easy though!

Comments, criticism, suggestions welcome... :thumbup1:

It makes sense to me Worcs but does the tug line need to be so long?

I clip my chest harness straight into my harness bridge sometimes but usually to the HH.

When I used RW I clipped the chest harness into the HC pulley.

What do your hands do with this system? Do you just hand over hand on the rope above the RW?

1, no, the tug line doesn't need to be so long, it's still experimental. Want something a bit neater really, will probably make something like your cobra clip. That's the one issue with the pinto

2, hands are basically redundant, but they are free then for manoeuvring around tight limbs on the way up.

3, I'll watch that vid when I'm in front of my pc, thanks!

I use a similar set up but I run a small pulley with some bungee to my knee ascender from my bridge ring it's all tiny and clips together.
