I took a pair to Timpsons in Chichester ( Elten hydro or aqua fell I think ) and the man said " no , can't do em "

I think with most chainsaw boots they have to have a vibram sole in order to be replaced.

Thanks for that link.

I got a couple o pair of Lowa's with Vibram soles needing replacment.

And at little over a 1/3 of the price of a new pair.

Worth doing once, but I reckon one re-soling will see the uppers knacked vis-a-vis good ankle support, which is my primary reason for wearing.

Yep you are probably right ! . They got some red bits on them , can't remember the model name but they were elten I'm sure . They were like wearing slippers from the off sop not suirprised they did not last long . Been through 2 pairs of Miendells since .
