Yup, I think from looking at the two failures its had recently that its struggling Tony. I did share my concern with the head gardener. TO to inspect.

Dead man's fingers forming on the base of a dead sycamore. Not sure of what caused the tree to croak it, but I'm pretty sure large mechanical basal wounds don't help!

Resinaceum and judging by the amount of root loss where lorries are cutting the corner suseptible to windthrow with the wind coming from that direction IMO
