Ms 201 any good are they 12 bar thanks all

I,ve had a rear handled one now for about a year. When the 12" bar on it needs replacing I,ll be putting a 10" bar on it. It,s ok with the 12" one for occasional full depth cutting but you need to be patient! I reckon the 10" bar would be a better match for it. So to answer your question I,d not recommend it with a 10" bar.

Ah, just been sharpening the 201 - it's got a 14" bar on it at the moment. That might explain why its a bit sluggish :blushing:

jon you want to look for one of the old back handled ms200's..

 

whats the use for? not read the whole thread... i dont see the point in these size of saws... i bought a rear handle 200 as people on here raved about them... used it once. put it in box for 8 months and sold it as didnt see the point in them...

there awsome as a general saw... there light as anything, no good for firewood really (there only 35cc to be fair)
