I'm afraid I haven't got no pics sorted of the lime me and Dan climbed today but we measured it to be 120ft and 3 inches,fair play to Dan sticking with it and getting a throw line in the tree' the base was covered in ivy making it a pain! The view of carver barracks radar was awsome!

 

Fair play. It was deceptively tall! I didn't think it was much over 100!:blushing:

well a short cycle ride over to wippy woods today to scout out a few big limes to get the measure out on, there is at least 20 or so in this avenue so if anyone care to join me in the next few weeks feel free.

here are some of them.

I'm going to get that tape measure to keep in the truck :) I know of a beast of a sweet chestnut with a mahoosive dbh
