De Walt do a smaller one than that which is very good, it's also small enough to use whilst working on vehicles etc but still powerful enough to use like a proper torch

They look expensive.

My favourite is the one that came in a package with 24 Kodak AA cells, seems to last forever on 2 AA so not much need for rechargeables. I carry between my fingers on the bike too.

BTW what other mods to the sixstud in your avatar? Mine's still petrol V8 and prohibitively expensive to run.

Just recently got a cree 400 lumen torch on ebay cheap for under a fiver. It seems a good quality build, very similar to a lenser p7 200 lumen I have, & is alot brighter light but maybe not twice as bright side by side, so the 400 lumen claim is likely slighlty optimistic :001_rolleyes:

Being using it as bike light.

Takes three small AAA battery so on full beam they probably won't last as long as that light you linked up, but its still plenty bright enough on dim setting unless you need to see a mile across a field etc.

Have a halogen tourch same style as one linked but the inbuilt battery has gone wrong & now only seems to hold enough charge to work for 5 minutes after charging

Thinking of getting a pair off theese one now as someone I know goes mountain biking at night with 2 of them reckons they are as bright as car headlights.
