Hi lads , so I hope you can help me out , I've been climbing about a year ,and on the blake's hitch , I've had the arm's pulled out of me for to long now , help is needed ,I need to move on , what can I do , not working full time so getting help from other's is hard , any GOOD idea's please help.

I will start with a little bit of advice you might find funny but it does happen a lot if you got a mass of work ahead of you.... STOP!!! think, do i have my short strop/flipline with me?

So have I, I've even free climbed up an easy conifer and had to come down to get a climbing line.

Do you use some kind of friction saver? If not then advancing to something with a pulley in the friction saver can take a lot of heavy loading out on your upper body, you don't have to stop using your Blakes hitch just adding a simple pulley on to your rope under the hitch will make for a good slack tender I'll try and get some picture rolling

I use a blakes and sometimes use it with a pulley which I find pretty good on longer climbs , wire cored flip line with isc rope grab , also liked the o rig setup when I tried it .

A mate had a good one on sunday up a 55m gum ... got to the top of the srt line and looked down at his drt line on the deck
