A climber died at work in australia today, queensland. I dont know the exact details so wont try and say what happened. stay safe everyone.

Not good :(

I hope these threads remind people about how potentially dangerous our job can be, so to keep them on they're toes/ stop them being complacent.

Aye, sometimes it can be a thin line and a split second between going home safe in the evening or ending up in A&E or worse.

 

Its been 11 weeks since my accident and I'm still healing although I am hoping to be back working again from January. I know from my own experience, that it was sheer luck that I did'nt end up more seriously injured.... or worse.

 

My sympathies to the family and friends of the poor chap in Oz.

No that's a different accident. From what I have read the climber took the top out of a tree and was still tied in. I haven't heard of the cherry picker incident. A sad day even more so...
