  4. Well because the big ladders hadn't been replaced I had To climb the hedge even though I'd already voiced my Concerns about the hedge not being stable enough...... Halfway through I fell through the hedge went mad and was Told to have a minute and get back up as I got up within Seconds of trimming a branch snapped and that's why I'm here Now I
  5. Still in hospital waiting on op index is hanging by a thread just Below the joint and my punky top is hanging aswell... Devastated tbh putting a claim in definitely...lads birthday this week And I'm gonna be potless. Just hope some people keep this in mind and it's avoids some Injurys then maybe I can take a small positive from all this

  8. In hospital after slipping in a hedge and mutilating my hand. Not Happy to say the least....going to be a good few months off workI suspect :@ . So to all who only worry about the saw causing damage learn from me And be careful....post pics soon as I'm out of this place
  9. i once bit a beach lateral when whipped in the face on a cold winters morning.....resulting in a chipped front tooth needless to say the tree won
  10. unlucky mate.....but well done for owning up the ammount of people on monday that will think twice before cutting with a saw . so infact you have probably stopped a few people from injuring themselves.....hope it heals soon
  11. hiya lads ive been climbing a few years now and for standard pruning and dismantling im pretty decent.....but ive only done one piece of major lowering n feel its time to start getting some techniques and different knots in my head. If you feel like sharing some of your experiance or just general tips would be appreciated cheers:thumbup:

  13. only the one pic lads has we was rushing but to say it was my first time lowering i did fine. Thanks for all the tips and advice really helped when i was topping it and feel tonnes better now

  15. only just started doing biggish stuff and now we're tackling sum ninety to a hundred foot pops next to a busy road. Jumped up this afternoon and got roughly about half off.....any tips picked up by you lads would be greatly appreciated!!! cheers:thumbup1:

  19. i may be completely wrong with this but my boss told me about squat oaks he used to do regular work on and they fit this description. By all accounts they were purposely made that way...... like i said i could be wrong B)

    RIP mate turns out he was on a cherrypicker and it fell over crushing him....isit me who would anchor on with a shoelace than go in one of them things ???

  24. last year we had some dick fly round a corner and basically the hopper ended up on there bonnet. i stayed a sleep through out
