Running is the best exercises because it helps you burn the calories.

Just in 30 minutes a person can easily burn 300 calories.

Walking, Sprinting and adding hills or an incline can burn 180 calories in 30 minutes.

Bicycling and Swimming of 30 minutes can burn 400 to 500 calories.

I don't know if many on here need to burn fat. I only do tree work and firewood part time and one of the great things about it is you I can eat almost anything and just seems to get burned up through the day.

Your metabolism is alive and well then! Not so here; grafting in the woods all day doesn't burn a thing for me!

Cut my calorific intake by a third 6 months ago - nothing...:blushing:

Your probably too good at it and can work efficiently

Actually this thread reminds me you had a Avatar for some Reynolds tubing. Do you and any others in this part of the world cycle and fancy meeting up for bike ride, on or off road?

Just started road cycling abit but its being abit wet & windy last few weeks & is dark before 4pm to get out much. Local cycle club does "sunday slow pace rides" & records then with a gps tracker on strava but there version of slow is near on 19mph for 40 miles :001_rolleyes:

Reckon I could average 16 mph going flat out for that distance so need to improve loads before im good enough to do 19mph. :001_huh:

Bike is about 15yr old race though & heavy so thats my excuse :001_smile:

Also haven't gone in for the full lycra body suit look you see some blokes sporting theese days

You can spend a fortune on bike stuff, its amazing how much gear there is now compared with when i first got my bike. Loads of clothing the range & cost of bike components has rocketed.

Commercial tree planting is how to burn fat at an average of 2k-3k trees planted per day. :P

Can also bring in some decent wages as well if you can get the 13p per tree jobs ;)

Short bursts (30 secs) of intense exercise that leave you breathless and unable to speak properly are what you want to invoke the HGH (Human Growth Hormone).

I was reading some articles about this which has applied science backing it.

Or just eat a healthy and well balanced diet, exercise and avoid alcohol.

eat for 5 and fast for 2 is also a good recommendation.

I really do not get the British male. Who would rather care more and spend more on what he puts in his car engine than he does about his own body (engine)!

And I should not reply or share my opinions on public forums when I have just necked 4 bean ground coffees as I stare and glare at the "F"q£$ sh"£$"!£$ ba"£$!"£$ weather" that has just messed my week right up, hey ho Snow is back again :)
