Hope you don't mind me changing subject a little but after seeing that horrible story it kind of made me think about something I was looking at on you tube about training dogs I wa watching the dog whisperer and saw all the negative comments on there about him kicking and jabbing the dogs on his show. I would not use those methods and anyway it only is going to make dog more violent towards owner IMO.

It sure does I watched him and tried to fellow his techniques it only made my dog worse, many people have different opinions on how to scold a dog.

There was a programme on a while ago called dog borstal. I though that was a good show. They didn't really use many harsh techniques exept for the pebbles in a bottle distraction technique.

To be fair Rich , that programme really just dealt with ' unruley ' rather than aggressive cases . It was more a family fun show more than anything else , the owners getting certificates after 3 days or something silly .

Don't really no after watching for a second time I can see what you mean about extreme measures in extreme situations guess I don't know enough about the situation to comment . Still got a lot to learn before I pick up my beagle after Christmas .

I've never had an aggressive dog. They seem to naturally do as they are told around me for some strange reason.

When I met my other she had a German shepherd cross Alsatian. It was always her dog. When the kids used to play fight with there mates we had to be carefull as she would go for there mates, trying to join in type thing. If I wa splay fighting with the kids the dog used to help me out....

Anyway the kid should end up with an anus the size of a clowns pocket by the time he gets out.

Just a little dig in-between the ribs and thigh with a finger to try distract him when yapping at people but it only made him snap at me, he is a chihuahua so it could just be the breed, they tend tobe snappy.

Cesar millan is a complete kn*b and his idea of training has been dismissed by most trainers, the idea that dogs are ready to resort to acting like wolves is so stupid yet fools believe him

:lol::lol:

The slight jab is done BEFORE the yapping starts and only with dogs going into a trance like ' aggressive mode ' . For gods sake Albere :laugh1:

PS hope it got you lol!!
