Apologies if this has been posted before but am I missing something? Not one Oak or Chestnut has fruited acorns or conkers around my way at all. Surely they should be out and all by now?

Anyone else notice this?

Not sure about chestnuts but the oaks are posibly taking a rest after last years heavy masting

There sure is mate, one thing I had noticed though is the size of the nuts are quite small compared to some crops I've seen in the past years....

Conkers are possibly affected by the chestnut leaf miner.

Less\reduced photosynthesis means less energy to produce large viable seed.
