I'm well hacked off. One of my littluns must have cancelled series record and it's not on iplayer yet. Thought I would watch Dragons Den instead but that's been replaced by some moron jumping out of a balloon.

 

It's available for download on iPlayer now. Not anywhere near as exciting as watching Felix create history though :001_tongue:

Trees grown to a particuar shape! very interesting...Oaks in a hazel coppice grown for "Elbows" used in ship building...

 

In his book "Sylva" John Evelyn describes how he hangs weights to the limbs of trees to get the required shape. He says that by doing this any tree can be grown in any shape to order.
