Hi guys , thank you all for you kind wishes of luck , both Tom and myself are really looking forward to a positive venture that will transform the way that we work and run our own tree surgery companies. we are currently on the lookout for a 3pl winch , we were looking to get one brought down with the tractor from wilsons but time escaped us !!!

If anyone in the area can make use of this kit we will be more than happy to help with a favorable rate . but for now we will be keeping this thread updated with what we are up too with regular pictures (no big pines) before anyone comments lol .

Many many Thanks

Tom & Dave

Good luck guys!

Couple of questions.

1; Was this an extension of what you already do? Rather than domestic tree surgery.

2; Were you turning down work of this sort because you did not have the gear

if im honest it was a mixture of both situations , Tom has a tree surgery company that deal mainly in the domestic market and i have a company that is all but solely working within the commercial side of things , we both regularly get jobs that require the removal of large volumes of timber from site and up until now we have had to pay a haulier to do this for us - the own side is that you often end up paying more to have the timber removed from site than we can make from selling it . we also felt that there is a rather large gap in the market that would allow us to purchase the kit and turn a profit . allot of what we aim to do will be considerate and constructive woodland management and the regeneration of dilapidated woodlands . Not only will the woodlands benefit from such works but the local timber market should do too. what better way to sell logs that to be able to assure customers that the timber you are burning has actually come from a woodland that has undergone such works and that the timber is from a sustainable background
