Does anyone know of a holster for carrying loppers?

Im thinking along the lines of a secateur holster, but obviously larger. It's really because when I'm cutting a hedge (usually done by someone else!) there are always bits that are too thick to cut with the hedge cutters. I have always hung the loppers on the ladder, or laid them in the top of the hedge where I'm working, but it'd be so easy to leave them up there, or theyre never in reach when needed. Thinking a holster would make it a kittle easier...maybe....

Could'nt you just have your Silky (or whatever make of handsaw that you use) in its scabbard clipped to your pants/belt to cut the thicker bits of hedge or do you need a longer reach than that?

I could, but there are times I prefer loppers for pruning. Sharp loppers give the best cut of all, and quicker. I hate the idea of Putting them down, picking them up all the time.

Andy go to a leather shop and have one made to spec. May be your best bet.

Should be fairly easy to knock something up with a couple of loops of rope to stick the handles through and attach to your belt.

 

Aren't you part of the make do with what you've got generation like me, rather than buy something every time.

 

(Step 1) Stare at the bits and bobs you have in the shed, then stare at the lopper.

 

(Step 2) Repeat this process till a solution comes to mind.

 

(Step 3) When the first contraption doesn't work, adapt accordingly by repeating Step 1 .
