Two dead ivy covered pops to come out of a garden.

 

Difficult access as you can see.

 

Lifted the gates off the hinges to give us a bit of wriggle room. 

 

All out and loaded by 2.30.

 

Have ducked and dived to avoid the heat this week, but today was cool and fresh.

A few decent sized spruce this morning.
You know they're big when you can cut 3.1 pulp from the branches!
More to do on the same site, but will have to clear what's down to make room for the rest.
Getting all the wood out could get messy if the rain doesn't let up!

I usually buy a few loads of spruce for the processor, generally in 3-3.2 meter lengths often referred to as 3.1 pulp, around these parts at least..
Decided to make the most of what was available here(all the wood is coming back to my yard) and cut myself a few lengths to top up next years softwood log pile (I should say stack, but it's more of a pile if I'm to be honest!)

Ahhhhhh you mean the branch wood (at least the lower larger stuff) was useable.

Exactly! I was joking with the lad that was with me that some of the branches were bigger than the trees were on the cs32!

A few bits and bobs kind of week and a few pictures of recent bits.

My dumb mate put a new £35k tennis court surface under this FUBAR’d ash.

Von climbed it a couple of weeks ago but we decided it was too dodgy to rig.

Every major limb had huge cavities.

You can just about see the handle of a Zubat protruding out of one in one of the pics.

Called in a mate with a tracked MEWP to slim it down for a fell between the court and a grain store.
