Oak tree in Forres. Someone had the job of dropping it about 5 years ago, got so high then gave up and suggested a MEWP. They left a bare stem with about 15ft of crown.

Our turn! Up, removing epicormic and ivy, drop the crown and chog down. Factored for 2 days, did it in one. Chuffed.

That's some big lumps there Jim!

I've been watching too many of Reg's videos Stevie!

Big portawarp and rigging rope. Used a dyneema whoopie. Looks too thin to do the job, but worked well. Spence let it run nicely to the deck. Sloping garden, so moving the lumps downhill was sporting.

Still due a beer.

Second day on this line of conifers, stripped the inside off them, and sectioned down around 8 off them. The rest will be removed in a few weeks when we have the lane closed got traffic lights for a week.

That's a nice job. How many truckloads of brash do you reckon you'll have to remove Scott?

Had 5 full loads of chip from just the one side. Going to be a fair bit more on the road side as its had all the light so all grown out over the road plus the tops. Luckily its all being tipped at the farm next door ;)
