phone line extension

i need a phone line extension into my office, it has to come in from the outside wall though or id just run something through the house myself. bt want £168.50 which i think is extortionate. is there any other tradesmen that can do this sort of work or does it have to be done by bt? im guessing its a piss easy job for someone who knows how....unfortunately not my thing!

You can buy a DIY kit from B&Q or the like.

 

It plugs into the existing socket and away you go.

Do you not have an internal box that you can just plug into then?

its got to run through the whole house thats why i want it external....theres no way of running an extension inside without it looking messy. i need someone to do it for me...im not into drilling into walls and stuff

Maybe try the Sky boys, they run phone lines to the set top box, they usually run internally, but I don't see why they couldn't do it external.

 

Try to get one too do it as a cash foreigner.

I had one put in a couple of months ago by a private local telecoms guy for £70 all in.

 

He drilled through the outside wall, went into the inside box, back outside, right round the other end of the house, and drilled through and fitted a new box inside.

 

It was a tidy job at what I thought was a reasonable price.

its an easy job steve theres only 3 wires needed

my dad s ex bt.

 

i could tell you exact wiring needed could even give you the bits that you need got a box of BT stuff here if your passing
