but if you get a flat bed you could do what is mentioned in an earlier post to move folks rubbish for them

True - but I reckon you could use a panel van in the same way....might just be a bit more effort and work involved.

Used to have a hilux and trailer for feeding pheasants and weekend jobs, when I was employed.

Like the rest, started properly with a LDV 400 with greedy sides in ex council yellow!:001_smile:

Insurance and running costs, i.e diesel are far more on a transit. Get a white escort van or similar (berlingo etc) for your tools to be stored away safe, then invest in a decent trailer and greedy board it right up. When you expand and buy a tipper the trailer will still be handy.

astra/escort van with trailer. keep it small. spend a couple of hundred quid on signwriting.

I have a 94 vauxhall combo, fantastic little runner.I have only been in business for about 11 mnths, so i still use it. As someone mentioned earlier, once these sort of vans are properly sign writen, they look realy good n respecable..:001_cool:

transit swb but with semi-high roof is a good combo for a first vehicle for garden/tree work. Another reasonable vehicle is the old style citroen dispatch which is only about eighteen inches shorter than an old style swb transit.
