Husq 335XPT or MS200T

Going to purchase a second hand top handle saw and am thinking of these models. Any hints, tips or opinions appreciated.

I'm a big Husqvarna fan but the MS200 is the better saw, better engineered and has more go in it - the Husky isn't as good and that is reflected in both saws re-sale price!

Don't get a 335 !! If you do get one of the last model 338's with the bigger engine, it's still not up to the 200t though.

Had both of my 338xpts ported and boy do they cut brilliant . Only fault for me is the exhaust cover's break and the fact that these saw's are not as balanced as the 020t . I own 2 338xpt and 2 ms200t and one solo climbing saw . I nearly always choose the ported huskys

Ms200t all the way, there just ........well ......awesome...

 

I did like the 338xpt but still lacked power would not mind trying out a ported one though....

If you want a saw that looks the business, is ergonomic and is a reputable brand, Husky.

If you want a reliable, powerful top handle saw that is the business, is ergonomic and has earned it's reputation through reliability...Stihl.

Give you an idea of the popularity of the Stihl/Husky top handles, local dealer sold 2 335s since they came out, and countless 200ts, that much difference!! Me? I'd go for the Stihl.
