I've paid a fiver a pint in some shows (and still drank all day:blushing:) as far as food is concerned you always pay more at shows/festivals.

At the CLA game fair last year a bar was charging £4.80 for a pint of Strongbow hich was flat, warm and tasted watered down. I only bought half a pint as it was so much. 2 hog roast places were charging £5.50 for a bap and 7 quid for a baguette.

I think the entrance fee is reasonable if you get it at £13 pre pay discount for a group of ten, £17 on the day is a lot for the working man when you consider he has to pay his fuel to get there but to be fair you can see were the money goes, I hear the matting/walkway was £9 per lin mtr which would be a god send if it did rain.

Just because the food is a rip off at other events does not justify it being a rip off at the APF and I think this is some thing the organisers should look at. I took food but got a bit peckish and did give into temptation and bought the Mrs, grandkids and one of the pole lath turners an ice cream @ £2, each, now that is a rip off (I didn't see many people taking their own ice cream to the show). If the organisers do charge £3,000 for a single catering unit then thats where the rip off is.

One day is never enough and I thought the show was well organised with plenty to see and do.
