Well dairymeade is being re stocked soon, lots of strong fighting rainbows but the browns are hard to get, I caught it on a sinking daddy long legs wrong time I no but just gave it a go. They charge 15 pound for the day catch and release or 5 for any fish taken away.or 10 for the evening.

very fortunate that i live near the test and itchen two of the best wild trout rivers in the world. have fished both being in the right place and talking to the keepers. nothing better on a warm summers evening with a small dry fly looking for the rise and casting just above hoping the trout will take the fly. use a 7ft6inch brook rod with weight forward 4 to 5 line. ideal for rivers.

also good sport is fishing for grayling in the winter with a grayling witch or water hen boa. i believe better fishing than trout do they fight yet to fish for sea trout love to have a go.

Im off at the end of next week for my annual week mayfly fishing on Lough Erne in County Fermanagh. I always camp on an island for the duration of my stay. Its nice and peaceful and nobody to touch your gear when your out in the boat. Nearly all dryfly fishing for wild trout. Heres a couple of pics from last year.
