Fly fishing

nothing like catching a wild brown trout..:thumbup:

 

i like a bit of dry fly river fishing.......would have liked to have done a bit this season,but just did not have the time,hope to go before the end of season 30th sept..:thumbup:

 

You can't beat dry flys. I haven't even ventured into wet flys yet as I like seing fish take off the surface.

I used to course fish. Never fly fish but looked interesting.

 

But there is not many places to go down my way and most have to put fish back. That's why I've moved to sea fishing. Nice to come home with something to put in the freezer and have a go at butchering and cooking something new.

Reading this thread already has me looking back to my childhood where every minute i could i would be of to Newlyn pier Fishing ! it was great as i would see what the tide was doing , i remember fishing down there on the highest tides o the century and catching numerous Mackerel and Garfish .

 

Maybe im gonna have to make some time and have a look into getting the rods out of the attic and taking a little time off of work .

 

Great thread and i will be watching it to see how you get on
