We get it all the time. The pile just seems to get smaller. We think we are going mad but we painted some of the timber and it was moved.

 

We don't ring or log any of our timber until its ready for bagging and the bags get moved to a store. Still goes missing but means They get tired before they can move any large amount, plus it puts them off as they have to process it all themselves.

There's something about firewood that makes people think they are entitled to it and its their right! No matter the class of person its seen as fair game and are shocked when you catch them and tell them to put it back. They are more shocked when you tell them that i pay for the wood!

 

We don't get too much bother with stuff getting pinched but had a farmer want to buy the last part load (it was stcked in his yard) and decided he'd move it all into a heap with his telehandler and then changed his mind once he'd found out how much it was going to cost him and it's now all blocked in until the new year - at least it will have dried out a bit. Going to be quite satisfying leading it out of the yard past him

Dog poo. Chose a few good logs that they'd definitely choose. Make sure you know which ones they are... And cover them in the doggy doings. Maybe put a camera up then, so you can see their reaction.

Same here- amazing the strength people find when they want something!!!!

 

 

think they can be pretty lazy too- I had a ton of fire wood knicked over night, although they was kind enough to leave me a lengh of cord wood that they dropped down the dyke- I'm guessing they couldnt be bothered to retrieve it!
