Hi-lux all the way!!!!!!!!

they are top dog!!!!!

i love mine to bits i get 3-4 offers a week for somebody to buy it apparently they are worth a fortune in africa!!!!

the hilux is not that bad on diesel thats what i keep telling myself & i believe it!!!!!!!

all i do know is it is better on diesel than my 3.1 trooper!!!!!!

a mk4 hilux will run on veg oil or bio diesel

both veg oil & bio diesel collect al the muck & crap in the tank & fule lines so you will have to change your fuel filter after about 100 miles then again after the next 200 miles after that go back to your normal service routine!!

will d4d run on veg oil ?

Hi all, i start a new job in october as an estate worker, as an employee. my mrs has already started hinting that i wont need my hilux any more:thumbdown: so to please her i am looking in to the possibility of another 4x4 that is more economical. i have no real experience outside hilux's so if any of you can open my eyes to other suitable vehicles i would appreciate it.

doesnt need to be a pick up but needs to be reliable and be able to get in and out of muddy woods and have enough boot space for logs, deer etc

secretly im hoping this vehicle doesnt exist as i dont want to part with my battered but much loved old truck....:bawling:

thanks in advance:thumbup:

Trade your Mrs in bro... You can't beat a Hilux..

freelander 1 with the bmw td4 engine. 40 mpg on my old one going easy. goes most places and easy to get unstuck if you do get stuck in.

get a fsh one and more reliable than the older diesels or petrol (stay away from them)

the van version is really useful as is the estate version when the seats are down its just like a van and easy to muck out. back window drops down so you can gte double ladders in through the pass side and rest on the dashboard....
