Tough wearing footwear

Had my arbortec lightning boots since college when they only got weekend use, They have had about 6 months of fulltime use on them and they are battered, thats climbing and groundwork.

Now i need a new pair as the sole has split awat from the side of the boots, loads of stiching has gone so i get wet feet in damp grass :sneaky2:. But they are super comfortable and have worn them for over 16 hours some days and are fine :001_huh:

Been looking at the Airstream, stein phantom and scafell, as they seem popular and look comfy, anyone got preference or have had a problem with any of them, :001_smile:

Need to get this next pair of boots right, well not rich enough to buy boots every 6 months :001_rolleyes::thumbdown:

as above, had 2 years out of my airstreams now and still bone dry, sole is pretty worn and coming away at the toe now but will probably just get it resoled, the upper is just dull with no real signs of wear

Sounds good to me make mine sound poo, im going to chuck my lightning boots off a bridge to make me feel a little better inside.

I can't tell you enough how good haix boots are

Protector pros or the golds

My golds were brought a size to small for me but they are still so bloody comfortable

I wear them even when i have no hint of chainsaw use in a day because they are such a good quality boot!

klima air. the red ones. (don't know the proper name sorry)

Lasted me just over a year which is a record for me.

Tad pricey though but as the airstreams lasted you longer than they did me I think you may get two years working life out of them as long as you clean & treat em right.

my airstreams sole is coming away on the toe but still waterproof, great boots in my opinion!

They have had some abuse the last 2 years, although last few months been climbing in non ppe boots so they only get put on for crap stuff.

Look after them and you'll be pleased as punch! I didn't and i'm still happy. COLDDD in winter though!
