used my 201 today for the first time, its not a patch on the 200t or even my 020 back in the day! anyone got any tips or tricks with them?

I thought this at first but the more i used it the more i liked it. There is a youtube video that shows a 201 with the muffler mod and carb retuned. It was something like 30% quicker in a cut of 6inch wood. Unfortunately i dont have the link handy im afraid.

I have used about 5 and they have all been shite.You should not have to mod a brand new saw to get it to cut half decent.Very dissapointed with stihl on this saw regardless of needing to meet emission standards.

The new 201 is classic step backwards would like to ask a Stihl rep to qualify why thay had to make such changes.

I am need a new climbing saw as a spare but won't be a 201 will now even more intrested in try the elusive husky top handle :o
