Been trying to change the rear suspension on my 130 today. I got at set of Terra firma +50mm springs and shocks. As well as some pretty ropey service from Craddocks it's been a frustrating day. The biggest drama being the springs are about 15mm or so narrower than to standard ones so don't fit on the spring locator. Anyone else had this problem and what do you recommend as suitable +50mm springs. I got the socks and bushes done anyway.

Cheers

I had this with the set of bearmach +2 set I am giving away, but not by as much as 15mm, so put a set of terrafirma 2+ and they fitted a treat.

Offer is still up if anyone want's this set of 2+ bearmach heavy duty rears for free.

I've recently brought a 2008 110 tipper, it has an alloy chip body, off road tyres and I've been told heavy duty suspension... I can see it has two rear springs one inside the other, however when I put half a load of chip in the body the rear wheels rub on the tipper bed as I go around Connors... Any advice or ideas to solve this problem as I only seem to have a small amount of chip on board...

We had an issue with this when I built my 130 body, if you go for a bit of clearance after they hit the bump stops you end up with a stupidly high body.

It sounds like a build issue, even if the springs were buggered it still should have a clearance when bottoming out.

We fixed it by replacing the stock springs with 2+ heavy duty terafirma rears and machining the assister spring plates a bit so the assisters could still be fitted, and then putting extended bump stops on, it never gets anywhere near the bump stops now, but is a bloody uncomfortable ride when empty.

I didn't think they made anything suitable for heavy loads Jon.

I seem to remember looking at them when I put the terrafirma on as I wanted better quality, I was going to go for these extreme 4x4 ones but they didn't have them made up and I needed them in a hurry.

Scraggs, what did you fit in the end? I'd want the springs to last longer than 2/3 years!
