Got no work this week so I'm trawling the internet for any leads as to where I might find some.At the same time I inspect my kit, wash it etc... my favourite climbing arborist discipline is cut and hold so I keep my Silky's clean and always have my lucky sling to hand.great for small branches.

I use a ZigZag for climbing but I do save my Spiderjack on a mini rope for small stuff and conifer. Like all my kit it is immaculate and cleaned, tightened and inspected all the time so I have been monitoring an area that was brought to my attention by a thread a year or so back.where the dyneema goes through the red locator and joins the attatchment ring to the harness, although has a rubber spacer there can be slight movement against the body of the Spiderjack causing wear..I have been tightening the red locator when inevitabliy it does loosen. But its now out of action until I get a new dyneema and ring. Just a reminder to S.J users to check that area.

Not much Jon..no work this week....hammered the internet searching this morning...used my last pounds taxing my vehicle which was very important. A neighbour asked me to remove a connie for them then changed their mind and just asked for it to be bashed down a bit.bought some great gloves for it expecting Sap Central..very lightweight but cast them aside after 5 minutes....just can't work in gloves...still got £30 for the job..it all adds up and I have a couple of big climbs next week.hopefully a day or two down near you with Marc.
