My Landlord won't allow tenants to use the fireplaces Jon otherwise I would be enjoying a roaring fire each night now....shame cos there is a load of Seasoned Ash at the yard and I cut some nice Cherry from yesterdays job.....

Tell him to get his finger out sorting your heating then. :001_smile:

What a contrast...this morning, it was minus 3..... and after an absolutely beautiful Sunny day with an almost unbroken blue sky, I am witness to this Awsome sunset;)

My Gas had been iff for too long now and Up at Fox cottage the temperature has fallen well below zero at night...last night in bed a wore...a vest...base layer..two fleeces..a wooly hat...and a heavy desert smock!....oh and two pairs of trousers with thermal socks...still cold in the morning:rolleyes: even with three oil filled radiators on full its still freezing! So I headed off to my Folks home armed with two bags of logs...ironically as I wsljef into the warmth of the Family home, I recieved a text from the Landlord saying the part they ordered to fix my Gas supply had arrived but was the wrong one! So I'm staying here for the night....its an old Victorian house with 7 open fires to choose from...most surrounded by Frosterly marble and each one a Very welcome sight.....so it was Pork supper in front of a roaring fire wstching my favourite T.V show....X-treme Fishing!:thumbup::thumbup:

I feel for you bud, I've been just the same but mine was mended yesterday, thankfully! I had a house inspection today from the estate agents and I complained about some damp in the bedroom, then with looking at it further it turns out is very damp, so now I have to sleep on the floor in the spare room! If it's not one thing it's another hey, haha! I do feel like I'm camping though so it's all good 😃

Your parents house seems excellent!
