Just read your thread and it is full of such inspirational posts. I like your get up and go attitude and as a complete new guy to the Arb scene I have taken a lot of positives about the industry from what you write. It seems a great environment for people who are self motivated and have a genuine interest in nature and our woodlands. Any thoughts I had of tree surgeons being a group of adrenalin fuelled heavy handed hackers:sneaky2: have been dispelled and replaced with thoughts that you lot are a thoughtful and interesting group with an eye for the natural ways of the ancient woodlands.

 

I look forward to continuing my learning and developing my skills to be a part of the community.

Knotsure, there are many many people in the industry (including plenty or arbtalkers) who have a genuine love and interest in trees and woodlands.

I'd like to think of myself as one and mr Silky Fox is certainly one of those too from my personal experience. Indeed it is an inspiring thread - Welcome to the all consuming, totally addictive world of 'arb'!

Glad to have re-dressed your opinion of our happy if a little eccentric community...i am merely a Northern tree monkey with a passion for this life...yes as you well know mr yaffle i was the travelling Arborist long before i started my thread and our paths have crossed both in tree work and pleasure and i look forward to our next adventure!

Good man! Im looking forward to it to bro! I took a leaf out of your book recently and have been doing some travelling arb work of my own - Cambridge, Bristol, Wadebridge, London - great fun seeing different parts of the country and working on loads of different trees!
