When it comes to ‘free from’ and gluten free stuff, the UK is about 15 years behind the curve.
The US has been doing this a lot longer and they have really developed the manufacturing, baking and marketing for this stuff.
My American mrs has a gluten allergy plus others as well, she laments the lack of free from stuff over here.
She bakes cakes, cookies and other free from stuff for The Rising Cafe at Coventry Cathederal (shameless plug) and it is not just ‘as good’ but better than the normal stuff.

Good evening Mick.I feel so fit physically and mentally these days .In fact other than a bout of flu i've felt great 24/7 for 17months.The only time i've felt off kilter is after bread or milk.That has changed since going Gluten/lactose free.....
