Yep, for sure Derek is the bravest man I've ever met. We hit it off from the moment we met. Socially he was the life of the party with a BIG personality. We met at Continental Landscapes near Chiswick..

Derek is a legend and like a brother to me.He was the last person I visited when I left London only to find that within a very short time he had his legs amputated due to an very dangerous illness......

When I went to see him I couldn't believe it....but in true style he was up beat, shrugged it off as something life had thrown at him and he would get on with his life. His physio told him he would be unable to jump. Derek jumped in front of him! The nurses even had to stop him from using his arms to manoevre himself via overhead holds into the hospital gardens! The man is unstoppable and my biggest influence.we will be climbing a tree again together.......

Whatever anyone is going through and things seem tough, spare a thought for my friend D. He has told me that he believes the recent events in his life were meant to be and he wouldn't change a thing. As I've said before, I dedicate my thread to him.:)
