Rigging down a lighting struck Pine tree

Due to lighting damage and its position to the road this large pine was condemned and taken down.

I am self-employed, based in North Yorkshire. Did the job for a friend who lives up there. The job took a very leisurely 2 days over the weekend. The reason for the switch from SJ to HC was because on the second day I used a Pantin to ascend right to the top and I prefer using the HC with the Pantin.

I enjoyed that nice to see the S.J being used...What have you used to cover the front handle on your climbing saw? it looks rubberized... great idea.

When you are ropping the trunk down you should use a chogging cut and then push it off or let it slide off on its own. Its alot faster than doing a felling cut and then using a wedge and hammer. Your making more work for yourself than needed also because its tough to push wood which has a hinge with the weight of the wood included. I saw you struggling abit on this so I thought I would at least mention it.
