So the ring is used if you want to use the lanyard as a single line so you can use the full length?

 

You can then attached another another one for a 3:1 pulley system (great if your knakerd) :biggrin:

Good to know how to set it up for rescues and other things!

I just put an Alpine Butterfly on as its easier than fiddling with a ring on cord. IMO.

 

Except the only way to move it is to re-tie it....

Besides, not very 'bling' is it... :001_rolleyes::001_rolleyes::lol:

I use a double ring one, stainless 2ton rings, so its helps ascending and can use in multiple ways including a cambium saver on small tree.
