Maybe there's just a shortage of good guys. Too many greenhorns...

Hi mistahbenn, the problem is as you say, there are hundreds of so called Tree surgeons thanks to all the local collages Bicton , KMC and Cannington, to name a few, most are 'greenhorns' all will work for peanuts and so the value of a truly talented climber is lost, how many out there are prepared to pay for an experienced tree surgeon? you can have 6 hrs of my time for £180 or £330 for a 2 man climbing team, 6 hrs only. In all my time i have never known people so desperate, those with the skills should stick to there prices. Those who NEED staff should pay the prices.:thumbup1: PS my diary is ok.:thumbup1:

Thanks Jesse. All well and good, but when businesses are competing for work with all these new guys running around in a hilux there dad bought them, theres not enough money in the pot to pay climbers £180 a day. I would love to pay my staff that but its cuckoo land to expect that for day to day work.

I'd be happy to pay that money for a techincal dismantle if you are fast and safe enough. I havent seen any of your work so maybe you could get incontact? I have got a job where there are quite a few trees to take down, including a couple of large ones. Is that price for 6 hours onsite?
