Had a different experience with a similar outcome.

A couple of winters ago my lorry broke down whilst on a demo tour of the south west. I had over £50K of kit on the back and had broken down on a secluded private road that led to, amoungst other places, a halfway house for reforming scallies on their way back from HM Holiday Parks.

The cab heater had failed, the usual driver had knicked the sleeping back and it dropped to minus 4.

I eventually dozed off for an hour, sat in the drivers seat leaning against the door frame. When I woke up my ear felt a tad strange. I rubbed my earlobe and all the skin just slid off it! Early frostbite that was too. Bloody painful for a week afterwards but it only went purple, not black!!

If you can get into such a pickle with two ice lollies, I dread to think what could happen if anyone let you get your hands on a chainsaw.

just have a look at the chainsaw carving forum
