Sorry to butt in! I also have a vertex vent, overall i'm very happy with it although it is getting a bit mingin inside (straps and liner) Does anyone know if you can buy new insides/liners?

Have you tried washing it? Shower and soap does the trick.

Check out pacific helmets in NZ, kevlar shell with fully replaceable insides and a shell life of 10 years. I have 2 of them. Tried the petzl and that was a piece of rubbish IMO

Out of curiosity, what, in your opinion, do you find rubbish about the Petzl helmets?

I have had my Vertex Vent for about 8 months and yesterday the adjusting wheel on the back broke off! I know 3 others this as happened to now. I know the newer ones have changed the design with the adjusters on the sides, but this is pretty poor for an £80 quid helmet. How many off you have had the same happen? Do you think its worth mentioning to the supplier to see if they will do anything? Its not like I have even turned the adjuster much.

Had my Vertex for years and no problem at all with the adjuster wheel. Definitely worth mentioning to the supplier.
